Last post of 2015!

Who is excited for the new year?!?!?

It’s always nice to just start out fresh and to look back at everything that’s happened in the last 12 months. There have been a lot of very hard and very challenging moments, but I would like to focus on the good ones:

  1. Being able to work with all of my wonderful clients who were all so amazing and I am so very grateful for all your support and putting trust in my work!
  2. All the incredibly talented ladies I have had the chance to collaborate with, your skills in hair, makeup, modelling, and designing are out of this world! Thank you for lending me your precious time!
  3. Marrying Evan, my best friend and partner in misadventure! Hopefully 2016 works in our favour. Can’t wait for the million adventures we have planned!
  4. Climbing a mountain! By far one of the most amazing experiences. I trained all year, pushed myself beyond what I thought I was ever capable of doing and it felt so rewarding to accomplish (followed by horse fly bites, sunburn, and getting caught in a hail storm). Now I need to push myself ever harder in terms of style, editing skills, and with my business as well.
  5. Figuring out my style. This is HUGE. It’s taken me a long time to piece together what I like and don’t like and to not be afraid to show the world who I am and what I have to offer.

I love seeing everyone’s goals and aspirations for the new year and to see them accomplish it!

Before the year is up though, I wanted to share the images from a creative collaboration between so many talented ladies! They all were so amazing to work with and did a fantastic job!

Aliona was once again our model, who brought with her a beautiful wardrobe to choose from and quickly made a dress out of a piece of fabric which turned out looking so good! (see the photos with the green “dress”)

Clara provided the makeup before we took off to a location I hadn’t used for years and it was flawless! Looking at the images up close you can really see all the detail put into it and I’m totally in love with how everything turned out!!!

Julia was our amazing hair stylist for the shoot, and also a super awesome assistant as well! As we changed wardrobe Julia also changed up Aliona’s hair as well and the texture put into her hair was to die for!

We had such a variety of places to choose from in this location: beautiful ancient trees, an abandoned house, fields, etc. But my favourite is definitely the old trees, which helped frame the above shot so well as it was arched in an almost circular formation.

We had the absolutely best weather for this shoot, considering fall weather is supposed to be fairly cool. Everything came together so nicely and I had the best team to work with!
